Nearly 60% of Robinhood Chain Stock Token Trading Happens Outside Wall Street Hours
Tokenized stocks are showing one of their clearest advantages over traditional equity markets: 24/7 trading.
According to Entropy’s Tom Wan, nearly 60% of stock token volume on Robinhood Chain occurs while traditional U.S. markets are closed.
Weekend activity alone reached roughly $532 million over a single month.
That suggests demand is not simply shifting existing stock trading onto blockchain rails.
A significant portion of activity is happening during periods when investors normally cannot trade the underlying U.S. equities at all.
For Robinhood, this could become an important differentiator as tokenization expands access to stocks beyond the traditional market schedule.
It also highlights a broader structural shift.
Crypto markets normalized 24/7 trading years ago, and tokenized equities could eventually bring similar expectations to stocks.
The key questions are liquidity, spreads, regulatory treatment and how closely token prices track the underlying shares when Wall Street is closed.
But the early data suggests around-the-clock access may be one of the strongest real-world use cases for stock tokenization.
