BREAKING: Treasury Secretary Bessent Backs Bitcoin Reserve and CLARITY Act

Treasury Secretary Bessent backed the Bitcoin Reserve and the CLARITY Act. Rep. Brad Sherman pushed back, saying "no country that has ever won a war in history had a Bitcoin reserve," and argued that funds should instead go toward oil and rare earth reserves rather than Bitcoin, "which we could lose in a day."
Bessent responded, "That's why I'm pushing the passage of the CLARITY Act, because it gives Treasury more authorities to seek out this evasion."
