22 Companies Reportedly Oppose OKXICE Tokenized Stock Listings as Wall Street Pushback Grows

Opposition to OKXICE's proposed tokenized stock listings has reportedly expanded to 22 companies, up from nine last week and 16 on Wednesday, according to Reuters.
Wells Fargo $WFC, Arm $ARM and Intuit $INTU are among the companies reportedly objecting to the initiative. OKXICE, described as a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange $ICE, had planned to tokenize 63 US stocks.
Under the cited regulatory exemption, an issuer's objection would prevent its shares from being listed on the platform.
The dispute highlights tensions over issuer consent, investor protections and market access as equity tokenization develops. The platform's structure and applicable regulatory provisions require confirmation.
