AST SpaceMobile Signs Agreements With Three Brazilian Carriers for Satellite-to-Phone Coverage

AST SpaceMobile $ASTS has reportedly signed agreements with Brazilian telecommunications providers Unifique, Brisanet and Iez to expand direct-to-device satellite connectivity.
The arrangements would use the carriers' 700 MHz spectrum to deliver satellite broadband services to compatible conventional smartphones through existing mobile network relationships.
According to the report, the Brazilian operators would also finance supporting ground gateways, potentially reducing AST SpaceMobile's infrastructure spending requirements while expanding its international coverage opportunities.
However, the agreements do not establish that commercial services are already operational. Deployment timelines, regulatory approvals, satellite capacity and the financial terms of the partnerships will determine their eventual contribution to revenue.
