Hims Shares Jump Over 7% as Eli Lilly Deal Brings Zepbound and Foundayo to Platform
Hims & Hers $HIMS shares rose more than 7% in premarket trading after the telehealth company announced a partnership with Eli Lilly $LLY to offer its FDA-approved obesity treatments directly through the Hims platform.
Self-pay prices will start at $149 per month for Foundayo and $299 for Zepbound, matching prices already available through LillyDirect. Eligible patients can complete consultations, obtain prescriptions when clinically appropriate and arrange delivery without leaving the Hims platform.
The agreement gives Lilly access to Hims' established customer base while allowing Hims to retain patients throughout the treatment process. Hims also committed not to offer compounded copies of Lilly's GLP-1 medicines.
The partnership strengthens Hims' position in branded weight-loss treatments while expanding Lilly's distribution network. The premarket rally reflects a positive initial reaction, although the agreement's financial impact will depend on patient adoption and execution.
