JPMorgan Enables Institutional USD Deposit Transfers on Ethereum Through JPM Coin

JPMorgan Chase $JPM, the largest US bank with more than $5 trillion in assets, is reportedly enabling institutional clients to transfer US dollar deposits on Ethereum $ETH using JPM Coin.
The development marks another step toward integrating traditional banking infrastructure with public blockchain networks, potentially allowing institutions to move funds more efficiently across financial platforms.
Blockchain-based deposit transfers could improve settlement speed, liquidity management and interoperability with tokenized financial assets.
However, JPM Coin represents a bank-issued deposit instrument rather than an unrestricted retail stablecoin. Access, redemption rights and transaction permissions depend on JPMorgan's institutional framework.
