The company’s 15-person chip team says Claude is already accelerating engineering and chip-design work.
The custom chips are intended to support the training and operation of Claude, potentially helping Anthropic strengthen control over its AI computing infrastructure.
Anthropic has not announced any plans to sell its chip-design tools to other companies.
