Russian Diesel Shipment Reportedly Heads to US Under Proposed Sanctions Waiver

A report claims that a tanker carrying approximately 40,000 metric tons of Russian diesel is heading to New York, with an expected arrival on November 7.
The shipment is described as part of a US-Russia arrangement involving a temporary sanctions waiver through April 7, 2027. The report also cites plans for additional Russian diesel exports and US diesel prices averaging approximately $6.31 per gallon.
However, the claimed agreement, Treasury authorization, shipment details and price figures require official verification. The report should not be treated as confirmation that the US has lifted its restrictions on Russian petroleum imports.
If authorized, additional diesel supply could help ease fuel market pressures, depending on volumes and distribution.
