EV Slowdown Deepens as Tesla Deliveries Fall and Volvo Pulls Guidance

The global EV market is showing further signs of slowing. $TSLA delivered 486,532 vehicles in Q3, down 2% from a year earlier, although shares rallied about 5% as the decline was better than market expectations.
Volvo reported a sharper deterioration, with sales falling 11% to 141,609 vehicles and the company withdrawing its full-year guidance. Sales in China dropped 41%, while the Americas declined 14%.
China's aggressive EV price war continues to pressure premium manufacturers, while US EV sales are down more than 30% this year as previous subsidy support fades. The sector is increasingly shifting from a high-growth narrative toward a more competitive and margin-sensitive environment.
