Bullish Adds Aptos to Tokenized Stock Network Alongside Solana and Ethereum

Bullish has selected Aptos as one of three blockchain networks for its planned tokenized equity services, alongside Solana and Ethereum. The Nov. 3 announcement expands Bullish’s existing Solana-based offering and gives companies more options for issuing tokenized shares.
Tokenization converts traditional assets, such as company shares, into digital tokens recorded on a blockchain. Bullish says the technology could enable 24/7 trading, near-instant settlement, automated dividend payments, and real-time visibility into share ownership.
Aptos is positioning itself as an institutional-ready network. It says transactions can be finalized in under a second at a fraction of a cent. A Blockworks Research report published Oct. 20 put the median transaction fee at approximately $0.0003 and estimated that Aptos held around $1.6 billion in stablecoins.
The network already hosts tokenized funds from major asset managers, including Franklin Templeton and Apollo. It has also introduced privacy features through Confidential APT, which allows users to conceal balances and transfer amounts, and an encrypted mempool designed to protect pending transactions from front-running.
The announcement follows an Oct. 27 demonstration at the New York Stock Exchange, where Bullish CEO Tom Farley and Equiniti CEO Dan Kramer transferred 61 million tokenized Bullish shares on Solana. Bullish said the transfer was completed in seconds.
Bullish agreed in May 2026 to acquire Equiniti for $4.2 billion, with the transaction expected to close in January 2027, subject to regulatory approval. Equiniti serves as a transfer agent, maintaining the official records of stock ownership.
Despite moving shares across multiple blockchains, Bullish says the official ownership record will remain with the transfer agent. The company has not announced launch dates for its planned Aptos and Ethereum integrations.
The move highlights growing efforts to bring traditional securities infrastructure onto public blockchains, although regulatory requirements and the role of traditional transfer agents remain important parts of the model.
