$ORCL Slide Wipes Roughly $194 Billion Off Larry Ellison's Net Worth as Oracle Shares Fall About 62% From...

Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has suffered a historic wealth collapse, according to TheStreet. His fortune peaked near $393 billion in September 2025 when $ORCL surged on reports of a $300 billion computing deal linked to OpenAI's Stargate project. Oracle shares have since fallen about 62% from that high, and Ellison's net worth has dropped by roughly $194 billion to about $182 billion, ranking him around eighth on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Ellison owns about 40% of Oracle.
Oracle's total debt is now roughly $169 billion, according to Yahoo Finance, and S&P Global cut the company's credit rating this year. A big part of Oracle's reported $664 billion backlog is tied to OpenAI, which keeps investors nervous. Investor Michael Burry has been betting against the stock.
Oracle's total revenue rose about 30% to $19.3 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with cloud infrastructure revenue up 121% year-over-year. The stock trades at about 15.7 times forward earnings, versus about 21 for the broader tech sector, and the 12-month average Wall Street price target is about $249, compared with the October 20 close of $131.14.
