SpaceX $SPCX Completes Major Engine Tests on Starship Ship 42 Ahead of Expected November Flight 15
SpaceX ($SPCX) has completed two major engine tests on Starship Ship 42, including a roughly 60-second six-engine firing and a separate test simulating the spacecraft’s return from orbit.
Earlier this week, the Super Heavy booster also completed a 33-engine test, moving both vehicles closer to Flight 15, which is expected in November.
Elon Musk plans to attempt catching both the booster and Starship for the first time during the upcoming mission, a step that could move $SPCX closer to fully reusable rockets and significantly reduce launch costs.
