Meta Targets $20 Billion Bond Offering Amid AI Monetization Concerns

Meta ($META) is seeking to raise $15 billion through the U.S. dollar portion of a bond offering, which also includes a euro-denominated tranche. The company is reportedly targeting at least $20 billion in total funding.
The offering comes days after S&P revised Meta’s AA- credit rating outlook to negative, citing concerns that the company has fewer ways than some of its competitors to monetize its AI investments.
The development highlights the growing financing needs of major technology companies as they invest heavily in AI infrastructure while facing questions about future returns.
