Apple buying Chinese memory does not break the AI memory thesis

Some bears argue that $AAPL buying Chinese memory chips could crush the memory industry.
That misses the key distinction.
Commodity memory for iPhones and MacBooks is not the same market as high-bandwidth memory for AI servers.
HBM is specialized, stacked, co-engineered with customers, and only a few companies can produce it at scale.
CXMT may compete in standard consumer memory, but it is not replacing the HBM supply chain that drives AI valuations.
The market that matters for AI is still about $NVDA, hyperscalers, HBM, and the memory players that can actually ship at the frontier.
