Scott Melker Says U.S. CLARITY Act Setback Won’t Slow Global Crypto Regulation

Scott Melker says the recent setback surrounding the U.S. CLARITY Act is unlikely to stop other countries from moving ahead with crypto regulation.
Speaking with Ciaran Lyons, Melker argued that regulatory progress outside the U.S. will continue regardless of delays in Washington.
The broader point is that crypto regulation is increasingly becoming a global competition rather than a purely U.S. policy issue.
Jurisdictions that establish clearer rules may gain an advantage in attracting exchanges, stablecoin issuers, tokenization projects and other digital-asset businesses.
For the U.S., continued delays could leave more of the regulatory framework being shaped elsewhere first.
Melker’s view is that the global push toward clearer crypto rules remains intact even if the CLARITY Act faces obstacles in Congress.
