Ethereum Glamsterdam Upgrade Targets October 26 Hoodi Testnet Launch

Ethereum's $ETH upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade is reportedly scheduled for deployment on the Hoodi testnet on October 26, alongside a proposed increase in the network's gas limit to 200 million.
The testnet deployment represents an important step toward evaluating protocol changes and higher execution capacity before any production rollout.
Increasing the gas limit could allow more computation and transactions per block, although higher capacity also introduces additional demands on network infrastructure and node operators.
No mainnet activation date has been announced. The final rollout will depend on successful testing, developer coordination and assessments of network stability. Testnet deployment should not be interpreted as confirmation that the changes are already active on Ethereum mainnet.
