OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said AI disruption is taking longer than expected, noting he thought software businesses would be disrupted much more quickly after GPT-4. He said he isn't sure 2026 will be the year every business feels up for grabs, and suggested that people continuing to buy from the same companies and use the same tools may make the transition smoother and slower than anticipated.
