Jensen Huang Assesses Global Industrial Shift as China Displaces U.S. in
NVIDIA ($NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang outlined a historical perspective on how the computing and digital revolution restructured global industrial power dynamics, noting that China has effectively replaced the United States as one of the world's three preeminent manufacturing powers.
Huang explained that the advent of electrification initially established Germany, the United States, and Japan as the dominant industrial triumvirate. However, over the past 50 years, the expansion of the software and computing industries prompted the U.S. to offshore substantial portions of its heavy manufacturing, precision building, and industrial craftsmanship to China. Consequently, Huang characterized the world's current primary manufacturing leaders as Germany, Japan, and China, while emphasizing that integrating physical engineering with artificial intelligence will define the next phase of industrial leadership.
