Ukraine Hits St. Petersburg Oil Terminal in 1,000+ Drone Attack a Week After Trump's Energy Ceasefire

Ukraine launched a massive drone attack that hit an oil terminal in St. Petersburg, a week after Trump's energy ceasefire was announced. Russia's Defense Ministry said it downed 1,015 Ukrainian drones overnight, one of the largest attacks of the war.
The ceasefire came two days after Trump struck a diesel deal with Putin to bring down U.S. fuel prices. In between, Trump said Zelensky "better damn well stop" hitting Russia's refineries during the diesel shortage.
Ukraine paused those strikes for three days at Trump's request, then resumed them this week. Trump called the renewed strikes "a disgrace."
Zelensky said Russia attacked Ukraine's energy sector 76 times in the week since the ceasefire was announced.
U.S. diesel averaged $6.18 a gallon last week, up from $3.46 in January, according to the EIA.
Oil trading reopens at 6 PM ET tonight, the first session since the attack.
