Sam Altman Says OpenAI Killed Sora and Atlas Browser to Prioritize Codex Amid Compute Constraints

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the company killed its Sora video tool and Atlas browser because, "in a world of limited compute," both mattered less than Codex.
"It sucks to kill good ideas. I'm terrible at this," Altman said.
