Matic Robots Launches Voice-and-Gesture AI Controls After Raising $115M

Matic Robots has launched Cues, a new voice and gesture system that lets users point at a mess and simply tell the robot to clean it.
The robot uses a five-camera vision stack to map homes in 3D, while its AI assistant understands natural-language commands across 75 languages.
Matic was founded in 2017 by former Google Nest veterans Navneet Dalal and Mehul Nariyawala, who previously built gesture-recognition startup Flutter before selling it to Google.
After nine years of development, the company has now raised $115 million.
Rather than competing primarily on suction power or massive self-cleaning docks, Matic is betting on camera-based navigation, quieter operation and more intuitive human interaction to stand out against rivals such as Roborock, Dreame and Roomba.
