Zuckerberg is optimizing Meta for compute per researcher

$META CEO Mark Zuckerberg says he is not personally directing AI research ideas.
Instead, his job is to make sure Meta has the best people, the highest talent density, and the most compute per researcher.
That last part is the key.
Meta is building Prometheus, a gigawatt-plus training cluster expected to come online next year.
It is also building a 5-gigawatt cluster in Louisiana, with more multi-gigawatt clusters planned.
This is hundreds of billions of dollars in capital being aimed at one idea: whoever controls the largest compute base may control the frontier.
