$META Retaining AI Compute for Muse Prompts Wells Fargo PT Hike to $1,000 Despite Trimmed 2027 EPS

Meta ($META) may retain a greater share of its artificial intelligence compute infrastructure in-house to support the scaling of its Muse platform, according to Wells Fargo. As a result, the bank removed 500 megawatts of anticipated 2027 third-party compute resales, which accounts for approximately $5 billion in high-margin revenue.
Although absorbing that capacity translates into higher near-term operating costs and a reduced 2027 earnings per share (EPS) estimate, Wells Fargo raised its price target on $META to $1,000.
The firm maintained an optimistic outlook, arguing that the long-term commercial upside of scaling the proprietary Muse business model could significantly outweigh the foregone revenue from external infrastructure resales.
