Nvidia $NVDA Puts Spectrum-X Ethernet Photonics Into Full Production

Nvidia $NVDA says Spectrum-X Ethernet Photonics is now in full production as it scales purpose-built networking for AI factories.
The platform is designed to deliver major efficiency and reliability improvements, including:
• 4x fewer lasers
• 5x lower power consumption
• 10x higher mean time between incidents
The system is being built across a semiconductor and optical supply chain that includes TSMC $TSM and Lumentum $LITE.
As AI clusters scale to increasingly massive sizes, networking efficiency is becoming just as critical as GPU performance.
Spectrum-X strengthens Nvidia’s push to control more of the AI data center stack beyond compute alone.
