Calacanis Says He's Seen Unreleased Optimus Footage, Calls It "Real" as Sacks Flags Remaining Hurdles

Jason Calacanis said on the All-In Podcast that he has seen unreleased footage of Tesla's ($TSLA) Optimus robot that Elon Musk has not published. Calacanis said he asked Musk directly whether the video was CGI, and Musk told him, "No, this is real. They just sent it to me this morning."
The discussion came as the hosts watched footage from China's humanoid robot games, where a red robot's leg snapped off mid-race. Calacanis said of the unreleased Optimus footage, "It would win half of these things already... He's making sick progress and he's not showing it publicly, but I saw it," adding that he believes "Optimus will be the bestselling... product."
David Sacks pointed to what remains difficult for humanoid robots: while they can be trained for specific actions like running or jumping, the harder challenge is handling unprogrammed conditions, such as folding laundry or picking up objects without dropping or breaking them.
