Trump $1 Coins Go on Sale at Noon ET, Marking First Living President on U.S. Currency in a Century

The U.S. Mint began selling new $1 coins featuring President Trump's portrait at noon ET Wednesday, making him the first living president to appear on U.S. currency in more than 100 years. The legal-tender coins are gold-colored but, per the Mint, not made of gold.
Collectors can buy 25-coin rolls for $61 or 100-coin bags for $154.50. Hidden among the coins are 250,000 special pieces struck on July 4, marked with a "July 4th" privy mark. The coins feature Trump's portrait alongside the Presidential Seal and were minted to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
