Jensen Huang Says $NVDA Can No Longer Design Chips Without AI
Jensen Huang says AI has become deeply embedded in how $NVDA designs both chips and software.
“We can’t design a chip anymore without AI,” Huang said.
According to him, Nvidia uses AI systems overnight to explore enormous design spaces that engineers would struggle to evaluate manually.
That allows the company to search for architectures that can deliver higher performance while reducing energy consumption.
Huang says the impact extends beyond hardware.
Nvidia also uses AI heavily in software development, including finding bugs, diagnosing code failures and identifying which teams or engineers may need to investigate them.
The bigger point is that AI is no longer just something $NVDA sells infrastructure for.
It is increasingly becoming part of the company’s own internal R&D process, helping design the next generation of chips and software that will power future AI systems.
That creates a reinforcing loop where better AI helps Nvidia build better hardware, which can then support even more capable AI models.
