$MSFT CEO Satya Nadella Wants to Bring AI "Chief of Staff" Autopilot to Consumers

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the company wants to extend Autopilot, its AI "chief of staff," to the consumer side. Built on a hardened version of OpenClaw, the agent is designed to keep working continuously on delegated tasks, with users able to give it an identity, a computer, a workspace and direction so it can operate with memory on an ongoing basis.
At work, Nadella said that could mean an agent managing invoices while employees interact with it through Teams like another colleague. He said Microsoft has spent the past four to five months hardening the sandbox and building out security and governance.
For consumers, Nadella said trust will be just as important, warning that users will stop relying on an agent the moment it does something unexpected. He also said consumer agents could potentially cut out today's middlemen, while enterprise agents could create a market bigger than cloud "by orders of magnitude."
