U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent claimed that China's Kimi AI "thinks she is Claude."
Bessent said Kimi sometimes tells users it is Claude because Chinese labs distill U.S. models, which he called "a nice word for stealing."
He also claimed Kimi once "sent back some PLA weapons plans to Anthropic."
