NASA Launches $4 Billion Roman Space Telescope on $SPCX Falcon Heavy
NASA launched its $4 billion Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy, sending it toward Lagrange Point 2, nearly 1 million miles from Earth. Roman is designed to study dark energy, dark matter, and exoplanets, mapping the sky at a scale beyond Hubble's capability.
The launch continues a push toward faster launch cadence, with a goal of reaching two launches per launch platform per day by 2030.
